4 comps? prolly got a router rite? routerz hab firewallz nowadayz... nd proxy's nd dem stuff...
Is it possible to network by setting up one computer as a server and install 3 Ethernet cards and hooking them up to the other computers? I got 4 comps and I want to network all of them but routers have firwalls. (I have 2 computers hooked up for 1v1 Starcraft or a CS duel.) |

SERVER-----------+
(192.200.200.2)_ | (80)
WORKSTATION---+---------------Router---------------+-<==80--------[INTERNET]
_________________| (192.168.0.1 <=> 81.132.105.228)
WORKSTATION---+
________________LAN____________________________WAN
You need to make sure that incoming data on port 80 is routed to your Server on .2 . Most hardware routers have a web interface accessable from any workstation on the LAN side, usually defaulting to http://192.168.0.1 (or 192.168.1.1). Look in the setup for "IP forwarding" or "virtual server" settings. You're looking for something that will let you map a WAN port to a LAN IP:PORT.
If you're using another computer as a router running MS ICS, CyGate, Linux, or some other internet connection sharing software, you'll have to look through the documentation of your software to find out how to map a port to another computer.
Good Luck!
