Hello!
I have a problem with Aliases, it works on two of my hds but not the third!
Example:
On C:\
------------
Virtual: /browse/Dc downloads
Real path: C:\Dc downloads
- works fine!
------------
On D:\
------------
Virtual: /browse/Mirc downloads
Real path: D:\Mirc\downloads
- works fine!
-------------
On E:\
-------------
Virtual: /browse/Movies
Real path: E:\Filmer
- doesn't work. just gets an empty directory :(
Maybe this has something to do with the security settings in win xp, I have checked them a little, but I can't find any difference so far.. |

Is E:\ drive a removable hard drive like for storage , maybe removable devices won't work , say if its hooked to your USB Ports in the back of your PC , is that the only hard drive that is movable. 8) _________________ This web server is the best ! |

Dhalkar,
Obviously, there is no difference between the three ones. Can you please check the permissions issue and send us your abyss.conf file to support@aprelium.com (remind us your problem in the mail) for further checkings? _________________ Support Team

I do not see any differences between any drive (C: D: or E: and X: Y: Z: drive) either. Tested physical and extended drive C: to T: drive and see no problem. Ran on both IDE and IDE RAID and also SCSI. The only drive I do not have is USB or Firewire drive. _________________ CapFusion,... |

The E:\ is currently not being removeable, but it was (had some hd rearrangement), so "removeable or not" is out of the question, since I get the same result.
going to mail support.. |

Out of curiousity, can you physically deattach the E: drive and swap with your D: drive? I assumed both drive you mention are phsyical drive and not partition or extend. Try in this arrangement and see if any difference.
Do you have a CD ROM drive in between?
After the drive swap and still E: drive still have the same problem, try take out the CD ROM drive and see if that can be the cause of it. _________________ CapFusion,... |
