| I have a domain name, www.mostextremesite.com. Is there a way I can have my website that is hosted by Abyss Web Server, come up when someone types in www.mostextremesite.com? I'm new at this and I really need help. :?: |

Basically, all you have to do is to configure you domain name to point to the IP of your computer (this should be done with the domain registrar). No special configuration should be done with Abyss. Next, when people browse http://www.mostextremesite.com, Abyss on your computer will serve them.

In a typical DOMAIN, there will be a line space for you to enter the IP and will also have option to be what type.
For example:
<Hostname><Address><Record Type><MX Pref>
Hostname = WWW
Address = 123.123.123.123
Record Type = A (address) or MXE or URL Redirect or URL Frame
MX Pref = 10 or it will automatic assign if recognize the type.
In your case > www > 123.123.123.123 > A > 10
That is it.
Other DOMAIN have it slightly different but basically should be the same.
