I'm trying to get ODBC working (using ActualTech's drivers) on macOS 10.14. I un-commented the ODBC stuff in php.ini and restarted the entire box, but I'm still getting the "Call to undefined function odbc_connect()" error in my PHP code.
(BTW, I did the PATH work with ~/.bash_profile to make Terminal use Aprelium's version of PHP instead of the macOS built-in version.)
When I use PHP in the terminal, it also complains about missing the ODBC extensions...I checked and they're not present. The Aprelium page for downloading PHP for macOS says that the macOS installer includes the ODBC extension, so I'm not sure what the issue is. I can't seem to find odbc.so anywhere in /Applications/PHP7/, and it's not available to download separately as far as I can tell.

After more research, I ran across a mention that if php is compiled with support for an extension built-in (as the Aprelium version claims ODBC is in their build), then enabling the extension in php.ini will actually throw this error...but that the functionality should be available without it, because it was compiled with it.
So I re-commented the ODBC extension lines in php.ini and no longer get the errors...but ODBC functionality seems to still not bee enabled.
My guess at this point is that although the Aprelium page says "Download the PHP 7.4.7 package for macOS (~19 MB). It is a notarized package containing the FastCGI/CGI Interpreter version of PHP 7.4.7 with the following built-in extensions: bcmath, [...], odbc, [...] and zlib. Support for ftp, iconv, mbstring, GD2, PDO, SQLite, MySQL, and MySQLi is also turned on by default", that's actually not the case, at least for ODBC.
I think if it had been compiled with ODBC built-in, it would show up in the output of $ php -i but there's nothing in there about ODBC (see output below).
If PHP was just accidentally built without ODBC support, could we get a version of PHP compiled with ODBC, as the page claims? Or if not, is there another way for me to get ODBC support installed just for my installation? I'm a newbie at compiling and running PHP, so I'm just googling and trying to figure stuff out, so pardon my ignorance!

| Emailed Support and they confirmed that ODBC is missing from the Aprelium-supplied package, so they're compiling a new one. :-) |
