You know, many ISP provide free webhosting services. Although the space is pretty small, does any body put their image files into their isp server and than host only their HTML files? I think it's a good idea because the site will load up faster. |

What I do with mine is to have all the HTML or whatever related to be place on the ISP and the main HTML / big images / files will be on my own server. So whatever my ISP support or does not support should not really matter but your own. Normally ISP for residential account will have about 10M or so. There no way you can put alot of image files. _________________ CapFusion,... |

Whoa...hoa... os17fan, I think I trigger something in your nerve.
I prefer not host everything in my server. My few reason are:
1. My server may crash
2. My PC may have unforeseen problem
3. Security
4. Less load
5. Frontend
These are the few basic reason. When you have those extra space (small) for you to use from your ISP, why not use it..... It help a bit from hacking and better security. You ISP should have alot better security to protect you instead of yourself getting those more expensive equipement to protect yourself. All the traffic coming in to any of my server, it had to come thru my ISP first. The only time my server have to work is when there is a request for a file or something.
If they know my IP and try to connect directly, they will get redirect back to my ISP webspace. _________________ CapFusion,... |
