				Every time I try to launch phpMyAdmin by typing http://localhost/phpMyAdmin, php-cgi.exe seems to crash and I get the above mentioned error message.

If I debug in VS, I get the following message:

Unhandled exception at 0x1000ab4a in php-cgi.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000014.

I've also noticed the fastcgi.log file shows:

01/May/2008:12:38:19 +0200	SUID: 5	PUID: 5	RUID: 0	URI: Reading 0 bytes failed = The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

01/May/2008:12:38:19 +0200	SUID: 5	PUID: 5	RUID: 0	URI: 	timeout-header2!

01/May/2008:12:41:26 +0200	SUID: 4	PUID: 4	RUID: 1	URI: /phpMyAdmin/index.php	Reading 8 bytes failed = The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

My configuration is as follows:

Windows Vista Ultimate

Abyss Web Server X1 v2.5

PHP 5.2.5

MySQL 5.1.24-rc

phpMyAdmin 2.11.6

I would be most grateful if someone could help me solve this issue.

Thanks,

Olivier. |

				Yes, I first tried the following:

<?php

phpinfo();

?>

and that worked fine!

Also, I don't think Windows Vista has anything to do with this bug, because I tried on a PC running Windows XP and got the same error message.

I had also tried phpMyAdmin 2.11.5.2 before trying version 2.11.6 and had the same results.

Hope this helps! |

				Could someone talk me through installing PHP in a CGI-BIN directory on UNIX from scratch? How do I get the CGI of PHP?

Thanks |
