Have asp.net2 working with .aspx but cannot serve .asp pages.

From a quick search, this seems to be more of a problem than most people realize.

Please explain how to do this.

ASP.NET cannot run .asp files. It is clearly explained in http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/aspnet/:
