| I am not to sure, but I ran an anti-virus program and it says Abyss has been infected from the Win32 virus. Now, I am not sure but, does Downloads.com sometimes have virus in programs, or the virus infected it. I still love Abyss very much, I am just concerned..can't abyss stop viruses from infecting it? I have WIN XP Pro so it is dangerous. |

I have been running Abyss web server for a couple months and i ran into a bunch of hacking activity and no hacker was able to hack my web site, i believe if you already had a virus on your computer that can cause it such as the Nimda virus, i read up on this virus and the mosth threat its after is networks , and i don't think abyss caused this virus if your internet was running a little slow for a while then you might have installed Abyss when you had the nimda virus, here's a couple things this Nimda virus can do
Causes worm holes for hackers to delete things on your network
Infects all of your programs
slows your internet connection
Please if you ran into this Nimda virus make sure its deleted and check that all your files are their
ABYSS BLOCKS HACKER ATTACKS ! :D

The files you get from download.com come from our site directly. They are fresh executables coming directly from the C compiler and the installation maker. So they are guaranteed to be virus free.
But if you already had a virus on your computer prior to using Abyss, our executable could have been infected after being downloaded, and in that case, we cannot be held responsible for that.
On the other side, Abyss Web Server does not include security flaws we know of that can allow people to infect your computer. So hacking couldn't be a real concern.
