I have X1. I bought a domain name from yahoo and it forwards to my ip address.

A friend can type in http://www.mywebsite.com and reach my site with no problem.

When he or I try to reach http://www.mywebsite.com/cgi-bin/YaBB2/Yabb.pl
No Message boards show up , just the web page.

When I type http://my ip/cgi-bin/YaBB2/Yabb.pl the message boards load fine, but I would rather have people utilize my domain name rather than Ip address to get to the boards.

At this point I dont know what to edit, what do I have to check to get this to work?

Are you using a DNS "A" record or a forwarding rule? You need to utilise the "A" record in order to use linking as you state in your post. A forwarding rule will 99% of the time link just to the site if any extra folders/files are added to the end of the URL.

Edit: 3000th post :-D

Hello brokensaber--

I would check in admin center/Forum Configuration/Path Settings and see if you have your Ip address in the Board URL:

If so you should be able to change it to read:
http://www.yoursite.com/cgi-bin/yabb2

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Axis

A bit off-topic...
He meant it was his 3000:th post. The forum itself has over 61 000 posts.
