Hey,
I've been a fan of Abyss for a long time, but regret to mention I haven't had it on for a long time. For whatever reason, whenever I type in my IP address with http:// in front of it, it tells me my login failed. Or rather, the full message is as follows:
Quote: | User Login - Failed
Access permission is currently denied |
This used to work in previous versions, what happened? |

Nothing in Abyss has changed. Its the way your browser is interpreting what you type in. Im suspecting a broken browser. Have you tried another browser? _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Yes, I tried it with IE and Firefox and it gives me the same error.
Please note that this is what I'm typing in the address bar:
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (xxx is my ip, just replaced for privacy)
That used to work all the time, and now nobody can connect. |

The error message you gave is not related to Abyss. Could you firewall/antivirus possibly be stopping it? I suggest you temporaly disable it and try again. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Ok, so I disabled AVG and Windows Firewall, but still nothing happened. Perhaps it is my router? |

Have you the ability to try another computer? If so, try that and see if the problem persists. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Everyone I ask gets a 404 error, but all of my PC's on my LAN have the login thing.

That's it if you want to try for yourself. |

Thats your router causing the problem. If people get a 404 then they can access it fine but you get the login error which means your router access page is trying to display. You should disable your routers "remote access" page from its console. Hopefully this should solve the problem. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

have you recently change your router?
Also check your routers config, maybe the routers remote access port is 80? _________________ Where have i been? School got heck-tick, had to move half way around the state, then back... and then i had to change jobs, so iv been away for a while :P |

Well I'm not sure about checking the console on my router, but what if I bypass it completely, would that help things? I'll have bypassed it as of this post, so check that link again. |
