I have come acrost a program that looks very promising to stop spam. It is actually a program, and a net of servers that house spamer IP/usernames, blacklist them, then stops them from posting/registering. Check them out at: http://www.bbprotection.net
NOTE: they are beta ATM but plan to have a full release soon :D

No problem aprelium, i wouldnt use it just yet, early reports say there is a problem with sql injection while registering users, but i believe the problem is solved already

It's still Beta quality. Hopefully they will get everything solved when it'll be officially launched.

Yes, hey are still officialy beta, when they release the full version is there a possiblility that these forums will add them (they dont mess with the database from what i am using)

Sure. We could add them to fight spam but we still believe that the best and long term solution is to replace PhpBB. ;-)

LOL, i hope the tailered system is released soon, make sure you add as many spam fighters as possible ;) (PS bbprotection released an API for intergration in none phpbb forums)
