kukiz,
Django needs URL rewriting (besides FastCGI). URL rewriting will be added in the next version of Abyss Web Server. _________________ Support Team

There is no estimated release time. It will be released once it is finished and thoroughly tested. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Hi,
I've just downloaded this version of Abyss web server: Abyss Web Server X1 (version 2.4) URL rewriting is here now.
Is anybody using django with it now, few months later after previous posts?
Thanks,

I may test this Framework on Abyss Web Server later today if I have time.
Edit: I couldn't get it to work, however I'm sure it is very possible for it to work on Abyss Web Server (I couldn't figure out the FastCGI part). Aprelium may be able to help clear this up.
Perhaps, Aprelium could create a "Python + Django.exe" package for us to make the installation easier? |

To Aprelium,
Are you testing this Framework with Abyss Web Server? I'm curious about it myself. It's already been 2 days. |

We're currently testing Django with Abyss Web Server and we will publish a tutorial about the setup as soon as possible. _________________ Support Team

But that was over a year ago. No progress at all? |

Unfortunately not. Very few people showed interest in Django+Abyss and that's why we have put that at the end of our to do list. We've raising its priority since your email exchange with us. _________________ Support Team

Thanks to a lot of hard work and debugging by Aprelium, I can confirm that Django/Abyss is possible and we currently host a site powered by such a combination. |
