I have already purchased a program called EPoll it uses Perl. Being a complete dummy on scripting. Therefore I am not able to get this script to work. It was designed for the Linux server. It's also suppose to run on Windows.
Anyway. I would like to be able to ask some questions by using Poll on my web site.
With really appreciate some excellent help on something that would be easy to set up. That you may have some experience with. In order to possibly help me. It would be extremely appreciated.
First Web polling software do you recommend.
How easy it is the to install.
Once again thank you for any and all suggestions. |

Rule 1: Dont buy anything that you can get for free!
Someone on this forum would probably point to free polling software or you could right your own, using PHP or another scripting language.
Not sure what I could suggest except you could try and make your own. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Have you checked their setup FAQ in http://www.perlscriptsjavascripts.com/perl/epoll/users_guide.html#instwin ? What kind of problems are you experiencing? Is the script author not providing support for his work? _________________ Support Team

Many thanks to you all.
You all are so kind, however I am a dummy when it comes to understanding script. I can edit a little bit however I really do not know or understand actually what I am doing. It's just like playing in the dark. You could pick up something that may not be very healthy for you, like a snake.
Hi Aprelium.
The only way I can get help, is by giving him access to my computer by FTP...
Setting up FTP, is a completely new problem configuring. As much trouble as it was to get help from my Web provider for setting up, ports, for Abyss server. Setting up the FTP I really do not need the hassle. With my provider. One week on the phone, getting a absolutely run around, after run around. Was enough. In order to configure the modem. Just for Abyss server. Then having a port 80, problem was hair pulling. Until people here help me figure out what to do. Which was very easily resolve wants you have the people that understand what's going on will help you. And that, I really appreciated their help.
 What to do. |
