				|
 |
				| Just to clarify for those who aren't sure,
I just went to www.php.net, and I found these 2 downloads there:

 PHP 4.3.1 zip package [5,853Kb] - 17 February 2003
(CGI binary plus server API versions for Apache, Apache2 (experimental), ISAPI, NSAPI, Servlet and Pi3Web. MySQL support built-in, many extensions included, packaged as zip)
 md5: 9c3304bbbc1c1603a3dfc60bf80ee04d

 PHP 4.3.1 installer [1,028Kb] - 17 February 2003
(CGI only, MySQL support built-in, packaged as Windows installer to install and configure PHP, and automatically configure IIS, PWS and Xitami, with manual configuration for other servers. N.B. no external extensions included)
 md5: 736b116ca8c39037c5616b6f39d40c3d

Which one is the proper version to download and intall for use with Abyss Web Server, and why?

Is everyone using the same version here???

Thank you for your input? :D

				| Either package is good. IMHO the zip package is easier because you simply unzip it and go... You'll have to make a copy of either the php-dist or php-recommended files and rename the copied file to php.ini
The new php.ini file will be where all your php settings are located. Good luck, either package should serve its purpose and I guess in the end it really might just be a matter of preference :)
