|
|
2 days ago, my server was running perfectly. Then our networking went down for a while and I shut it down. (Turns out that our cat bumped a cable) Now, whenever someone accesses my server, they get a "Conection Refused" error. We haven't changed a single thing with our hardware, networking, or server. Why is it doing this?
I did attempt to search for my problem, so please excuse me if this has been answered somewhere. |

I assume that you must of made a change with out rebooting to see the effect, the best way anyone here can help you would be to tell us what error you are getting and maybe support thst with a relevent dump of the log.
I am guessing that it is probably something simple but you have not given enough information to help you

Is it possible that when you restarted, your server grabed a new IP from the router? |

smokeman0,
Check your local IP address of the computer running Abyss Web Server (run ipconfig in a Windows command line window). Does it match with the IP in the port forwarding configuration of your router?
If no, chances are that your computer is getting a dynamic IP from the DHCP server of the router. If this is the case, set your computer to have a static IP and use this IP to configure port forwarding: http://www.portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm . _________________ Support Team
