Lightbox Script not operating correctly

On my site at http://desertmountainbaseball.com/gallery/photos.php are several galleries created automatically with PHP. If you click on the "varsity" one you will see several thumbnails. Clicking on one of these is supposed to open the image with a "lightbox" effect as described here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/lightbox/index.htm I've incorporated this into my PHP, but it only semi works. You'll see that when you click a thumbnail, the background becomes a solid grey, not transparent as it should be. Maybe it's time to upgrade your browser then.

It works great in my browsers (Opera 9 tp2, IE6, FF1.5)

Really? So when you click on a picture, it enlarges and is surounded by a thin grey outline and the rest of the screen is just darkened (but you can still see the page faintly)?

I don't think the first photo works but the others in "Varsity" work fine.
Edit: First photo takes up whole screen. They work!

Yep works fine for me, including the first image. I'm using Opera 9 TP2 (Technical Preview).
