[05:12:38] 502 Command not implemented - Try HELP.

Listed above is the error im getting from my FTP server when i try to change 2 files (room, user) to chmod 777 as this chat script tells me to. I was told thst i dont need to set this if im using windows, im using windows xp pro sp2. If its not needed then why is it that i try to open the chat in a browser and get the error ''CHMOD /file to 777!''? /data is the name of the folder where the 2 files that needs to be changed to 777, and the /file folder needs to be changed to chmod 777 as well. how can i get around this error?

				| In Windows, right-click the file(s) in question and hit Properties. In Attributes, make sure Read-only is NOT checkmarked.
