It works correctly for me. Ensure the webserver is running, and in the dreamweaver site settings set server type to "PHP/MySQL" and address to localhost.
Testing servers are for testing PHP and MySQL or other scripting. If these are not installed and you wish to preview these scripts, you must install these programs. If you just want to preview regular html, press F12 or press file --> preview in browser - abyss is not needed for this. |

In order to build and test forms (Search and Mail to) forms i believe I need to set up a testing server. I want to build a databased driven storefront, Which software do you recommend for a newbe..ColdFusion? Access? Do you know of any store templates that i can modify and also learn from?
I appreciate the help!
Thank You,

Ok, firstly you'll need to tell us what language you want this "searc/mailto forms and storefront" to be in. _________________ Any information contained herein is provided in "as is" condition without any guarantee for its accuracy, contains no warrantees - express or implied - and confers no rights.

I would recommend looking into http://www.oscommerce.com or http://www.ossuite.org for your shopping cart needs. Both solutions are Open Source and written in php. Though you might wish to create your own I would suggest they would probably be good starting points for you.
They're open source so you can tear them apart and decompile them all you wish. Good luck :) _________________ Victor B. Gonzalez
