What help are you expecting?
If your router doesn't support loopback, you can't access it with your WAN IP. Nothing's going to change that unless you find an updated firmware for your router that does. _________________

Your router exists. Well done. After you've learned to read, please try looking at this thread again.
You are being told that if the FIRMWARE is not on that page the FIRMWARE does not exist. In other words, your router WILL NEVER SUPPORT loopback. You will have to buy a different router. _________________

That fixes your PC to not route traffic via your router. It does nothing to your router. _________________

its not in the router, the hosts file is located in C:\windows\System32\drivers\etc
what you need to do is:
1) Open the hosts file in notepad/wordpad
2) add a entry like the following
Code: |
your internal ip your domain name
|
that should work, that is what i have had to do to my network,
Please note: you will have to do this change on ALL computers on your network, to make them be able to access your website internally.
For a more deatialed explanation, view www.shroodoo.co.uk/phpbb2, this explanation is located under the Abyss webserver section. (You will need to register though) _________________ My online Portfolio |

Note that your site will now appear up to you when using your domain name, even if your DNS is broken for others, or your WAN connection is down etc. Don't rely on it as a method of knowing if your server is accessible to others as you are now completely bypassing your router. _________________
