				Hi all

I have an error message on starting up Abyss (X1) - You get the small screen up where it makes its connections but instead I get "Cannot start the connection server" message (I forget the exact one at present - checked port 80 and thats fine).

Recently I installed Trojan Guarder and checked the boxes for Deny Hacker and Deny Anonymous so thats probably done it! They didn't show any sign of a problem until after a restart, so does anyone know what would have been changed?

I mailed the makers of Trojan Guarder it but so far nothing.

I upgraded to the X2 version twice and both times I had to roll back - PHP scripts weren't executed properly and I use one right at the start to route to different directorys depending on the URL entered (It would only route to the first I think). Is this a problem others have had because I'd like to upgrade to the new one sometime.

Thanks,

This error message probably states that another program is already using port 80. To know which application is doing that, please read http://www.aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=37625#37625 .

"Weren't executed properly" is vague and does not explain us what is the error messages that you have got. Try installing the preconfigured PHP 5 package available in http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/php5win.html .

If the error persists, please send to support@aprelium.com your abyss.conf file and the error message that you get with the PHP scripts. _________________ Support Team

The message I stated above, but anyway it was cured by reinstalling X1 suprisingly enough! (A google search didn't bring anything up for the error message)

With the new server I don't get aerror, it executes properly but doesnt do what its ment to (I know that probably means a coding error but it works fine with the X1 version). I did reinstall everything as new but still came up wrong.

I have about 9 sites all running off my home PC using Abyss - the addresses are no-ip ones and are distributed to different directories using a php script (the one you can find by searching the forums)

I'll get in touch with support if I decide to have another go, thanks for the advice and quick reply. |
