Ok
Details:
I have the Abyss running on two differnt linux systems. redhat and corel.
I have the same folder of html pages on both. I also run the same group of html files and such on IIS.
Heres the problem:
When I try and load index2.html, it wont load and simply puts default.html in the browser window(netscape 4.7). Being as I dont have a default.html(but I do have an index2.html), it of course gets an error 404. This does this with both Redhat and Corel, running Abyss. Under IIS, no problem(at least with basic html), and also using poorman under beOS.
I am running as root on both systems, connecting on the same machine as the webserver is running ,IE http://127.0.0.1/index2.html
Could that be causing the problem? |

Do you mean that Netscape defaults to default.html even if index2.html doesn't exist ?
What are your index files ? _________________ Support Team

No
If I try to load say 127.0.0.1/index2.html
Netscape immediatly changes the index2.html to default.html
I havent tried IE as they dont make it for Linux |

You agree that this is not a normal behaviour ! Please review the log of your web server or use another browser (such as KDE Konqueror). _________________ Support Team

I have found that after testing some more , it is indeed the
Netscape browser where the problem lies. IE has worked just fine from offsite. So I guess I feel foolish  |
