I get a wb access failure saying unable to create web project"webapplicaton1'the unc share \\painintheass\wwroot$\webapplication1 does not exist or you do not have access I guess I am to stupid to figure this out. i undersatnd its proably a microsoft thing but I hope someone on this fourm might be able to help

Our suggestion (but we do not know if it will work for you), is to share your "Documents Path" directory (by default it is htdocs/) and name the share wwwroot$ . This way, Visual Studio will put the files in the right directory when your create new projects.
