Certain computer

Hi i beleive i may be making a mistake myself but im not sure.

I used to have Abyss 1 installed and it worked fine, i then upgraded to 2.x

then i was offline for about a month, finally figured out the problem and it was with my IP forwarding. It was not working correctly with the ports.

Now i cannot connect to my home computer from work ??

I am using port 8080.

i would give my address http://shadowman.myftp.org/
it would change to http://shadowman.myftp.org:8080/
and then again to http://a_bunch_of_silly_numbers:8080/


Any ideas on why this could be happening ??

sorry i can access my computer from my own one, and others. and other people have accessed my server.

only my work one. i understand that this is a problem with work computers but i was able to view it earlier??

A server at your workplace may be blocking ports other than 80 to stop spyware and viruses. Ask your network admin (if you have one) if thats the problem.

If you can't get your admin to allow 8080 then put your server on port 80, or use an anonymouse proxy. http://www.the-cloak.com/login-accept is a good one.
