six-underground.com is Powered by Abyss.
Nothing much to look at yet, but it's up and running. Updates will be made shortly. :) _________________ Razor |

I'm looking right at it at this moment. Both www.six-underground.com and six-underground.com are coming up for me. Are you browsing in stealth mode?
Do you get an error message? What happens when you try to view the site? _________________ Razor |

It times out.
Try a different port, has anyone else ever been able to visit your site? _________________

Doesn't matter if it shows for you, your viewing it from the computer your hosting it from. |

I'm viewing the domain name in my browser window, not localhost or 127.0.0.1. Does that make a difference? I assume you weren't able to view it either? Arrrrggggh! What could be the problem? The Dynamic DNS updater? Not enough bandwidth? :(
I can see it fine and I know the domain name is working, because I can log into/transfer data to and from my FTP and MAIL servers with no problem. *sigh* _________________ Razor

Do you mean I should change it from Port 80 to another port, or change the other port number? I don't think anyone else has viewed it yet. I'm not sure. _________________ Razor |

Update: The mail server and the FTP server are both working fine. I don't think the web server is accessible by anyone but me right now, even though the domain DNS is up and running correctly. I think it might be a either a firewall problem or my Norton Internet Worm Protection might be blocking it.
I'm going to be working on the web server so don't bother trying to bring it up until I let you know that I've got the problem fixed.
Sorry for the delay! Dammit! I was so stoked! :( _________________ Razor |

Yep try 8080 or some crazy weird number. :). Your ISP may be blocking port 80 =\. _________________

Nope, Port 80 isn't blocked. I think it's a firewall issue. It's either that or that Norton Internet Worm Protection program. I think it might be the latter, because a warning kept popping up when I tried to access the server. I had to tell it to let me view the site. I probably need to create a rule that lets people access the site from the Internet, but I'm not quite sure how to do that yet. Working on it now. :)
Thanks for all your help, everybody! Hopefully, things will be worked out soon. _________________ Razor |

Temporarily shut off your firewall, then try to access your site.
That's the easiest and quickest way to be sure it's the firewall. |

I did that last night. It's not the firewall, it's Norton's Internet Worm Protection. It works sort of like a firewall. I have to create a rule that lets the server requests through without compromising my security.
I'm going over to Symantec's site and look through their information database. If I can't find anything on the subject, I'll contact their support crew to get an answer. I've already okayed the program to accept MY requests (when I got the popup, I chose "Permit" to allow access), but I don't know how to allow outside access, because I don't get a popup. It just times out.
This is a great forum, by the way. :) _________________ Razor |

No, silly, that's not what it means. :P
Free parking only means that it's not configured with a host or IP yet.
He still owns the name.
