Ok I'm really not sure how to describe the problem that I'm having. I start the srerver up and at first I was having a listen Port error. I think I have that problem solved, my problem now is that I when I'm try to access my site, nothing happens. The browser seems to be trying to connect and then after 30-60 seconds ends up dispaying either that last vieed page or a dns error page. I finally got at least a server response and received a 500 error. HELP!!!
what am I doing wrong here. |

Hi, I don't know whether I can identify the cause but I had the same problem. First can you get to the control panel if so goto the website config page and goto scripting para.. make sure no where you have just a / if so then delete it. secondly reset the website to run on port 80. I also found that other software was interfering so open task manager my holding down 'CTRL' + 'ALT' + 'Del' then click on process on windows xp or the list will be in front of you on other windows. End everything on there that you don't know wot they are just do not end anything that is being run by the system or any of the following:
> taskmgr.exe
> iexplorer.exe
> explorer.exe
> services.exe
> winlogon.exe
> system
> system idle process
> smss.exe
> ccapp.exe
> anything with nav in as this is antivirus how ever I do recommend temp disabling any antivirus and spyware to see if it makes a difference
If you end something important don't worry you will just get a pop up saying about a system restart and couting down from 30 just leave it and the computer will restart and work again just do not end that one again ;)
If you have further problems don't hesistate to e-mail me at max_carpenter@btinternet.com I am very intrested in this problem and if worst comes to worst then reinstall windows seems to work fine after that as I have installed windows 5 times in the last two weeks due to variouse things like partioning for my new server ;)

yomig,
We recommend using another browser to check if the problem comes from the browser configuration or from your system.
Install for example Opera or FireFox and try accessing the site. Do you still have the problem with them? _________________ Support Team
