Edit: PHP v5 now works with phpBB , finally lol. lateR!

It has come to my attention that PHP v5 is not the cause of some scripts failing
to work properly , its actually the authors for not Migrating their stuff for PHP v5
so if you look at the phpBB forum , it does not support PHP v5. Stay with v4!

Note: This topic should be a sticky , for more info visit
http://www.php.net/manual/en/migration5.incompatible.php

Note: MySQL v4.1 also only works in PHP v5 so please use MySQL v4.0 from
now on because I mean the PHP Dev made a huge mistake releasing v5. :/

MySQL v5.0.0 works fine under php 4.

I've been using MySQL v5 since it became available.

Im using MySQL v4.1 and the only thing i had to do was to tell it to use the old password scheme.

The way I figure, what should have been done regarding PHP v5 was that they should have added a backwards compatibility mode/command switch. Whereas it would support all v4 scripts while still maintaining the increased performance & stability provided by the v5 threading model.
