Greetings all,

I just installed Abyss 2, PHP 5, phpMyAdmin and was trying to get OSCommerce running but I kept getting an error. I toyed with it some more and got it resolved but I figured I'd post what I came up with so hopefully it might be a guide for someone else...

First off, I placed the "catalog" directory in the /htdocs folder in Abyss. Then I went to /catalog/install/index.php and proceeded through the directions. It asked me for the username / password / database name which I had already created in phpMyAdmin.

Afterwards it took me to a page where the install informed me that it had made a successful connection to the database and it was going to install the contents now. Once I clicked submit, though, it paused for a moment and then came back with "Error 500 - Internal Server Error." I couldn't quite figure this out because everything was setup correctly. After going back into phpMyAdmin, though, I saw that it had actually installed the contents of the database.

That was definitely good. So then, I went back to install/index.php and it approached me with the same first two options as before. One was to install the database and the other checkbox was for something like "retain install information" or something like that. I left the first one blank and checked the second one.

Voila!
It worked!

Anyways, hopefully someone might find this useful.
Sorry for the long post.

Abyss 2 is amazing, btw.

Ciao!
