I guess it's their way to see distribution volume of actual usage vs. hobbyists playing with it.
Who knows.... |

I still wouldn't mind using the free version with just a small logo.
Edit: Registration is Free "Register it to remove logo :)"

Same here.
Even as a learning tool, a nag logo isn't such a hardship for a free script language ! |

|
|
In case anyone has trouble, here's the settings I have in the Abyss console to get Ignitefusion to display the sample cold fusion ( .cfm ) web page....
1) Server parameters - Index files
Added entry for index.cfm
2) CGI-Parameters - CGI Interpeters
Added entry for folder where ignitefusion was unzipped, in my case
I have it as e:\ignite\ignitedb.exe with associated extension
of cfm
3) CGI Path
Added entry of /*.cfm
With these setting I was able to bring up the provided sample coldfusion (.cfm) webpage in IE without any problems.
I didn't have any time to build any ColdFusion pages from scratch..that will have to wait until tomorrow to get to play with it some more, but I think it should go smoothly....will find out.
Interested in reading if anyone else gave this freeware a try and results obtained.... |

Well, finally had a chance to play with IgniteFusion using some scratch-built Cold Fusion code.
Impressions?
This is a GREAT free script language to have in addition to Abyss !
I created a generic scratch adhoc dynamic web page with a SQL query to go against a simple ACCESS 2000 table that I created as a system ODBC data source with 1700 rows and 45 columns in it and Abyss/IgniteFusion handled it without a problem.
The syntax practically is carbon-copy of Cold Fusion syntax so there is virtually no learning curve to transition to IgniteFusion if you already have some experience with Cold Fusion.
In addition, there are plenty of Cold Fusion tutorials on the web plus reference books on eBay at reasonable prices to use that would make IgniteFusion a good addition to the other cgi-based scipts that Abyss handles so well ( i.e. PHP, Shorthand, etc. )
If you do Cold Fusion development and don't want to have to spend the Big Bucks to have a home copy of it, IgniteFusion is well worth the 5 minutes it takes to get and install to have a Cold Fusion clone environment available to develop web applications with Abyss as host web server. |

Taellik,
Thank you for your feedback about IgniteFusion. We'll add it to the list of supported scripting languages. By the way, the new version 2.0 supports also the original Cold Fusion thanks to its ISAPI interface. _________________ Support Team

It must have something to do with the way the forum works with different time zones. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Regardless of what timezone the forum is set in your profile, the screenshot clearly shows
that chappy edited his post 3 hours and 43 minutes BEFORE P3 posted.
EDIT - OK, that's enough from me. I'm going to go test IgniteFusion now. ;) |

We edit out posts but YOU DONT. You have to learn to edit your posts otherwise you will start to annoy people and they will be less likely to help you. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

After a very long wait, IgniteFusion version 3 is now available. I hope this has better CFML support than the older versions. By the way, no more Registration needed!
I request that Aprelium add a installation tutorial to their support page on this.
Download IgniteFusion version 3 from here:
