Hi, I have installed abyss 1.2.3.0, php 5.0.3.3 and mysql 4.1.9.
I configured CGI as said in the guide, infact my scripts works well, then i configured mysql and tried to install mambo 4.5.1a stable.
I reconfigured php.ini and got all green flags when installing it, the installation worked well.
At the end I deleted all files and....
Basically i don't get any graphic but only text misaligned... If i go to administraction settings i can see the panel but no menu, and my javascript console keeps complaining about _cmSplit not defined, tabPane1 with no properties and WebFXTabPane and MMpreloadImages not defined...
And, when I go into some panel like configuration i can't save cause it doesn't work and i see the link 2 times (my choices are savesave cancelcancel helphelp)...
I read that it could be the firewall blocking scripts, so i changed firewall, deactivated it, sure this is not the problem.
I know that probably has nothing to do with aprelium but I wonder if someone could help me out of it.
I need mambo 'cause I'm going to help a friend to develop some website and he use only mambo... |

Mambo works fine when I installed it on my local test server , try using PHP
v4 instead of PHP v5 and maybe that will fix your problem. Have A Nice Day! |

efxbug,
Try using another browser (FireFox or Opera) to know if the problem is caused by a Javascript interpretation.
We'll be waiting for your feedback. |

OK, I found the problem...
I installed abyss webserver on a port different from 80, and in step 3 i didn't see that mambo correctly recognized domain and directory but NOT port
I simply changed site/dir in site:port/dir and it worked :D
Thanks for the replies |
