I have http://my3.statcounter.com to count and track the hits to my site http://www.bouncewho.bounceme.net. My Abyss server Access Statistics in the control panal gets more hits than my http://my3.statcounter.com project does. I have become confused about witch is correct. The server or the website counter. Could someone explain or help me to analyze whats going on. |

A counter will basicly just count one hit per visit but the Abyss console stats
page will count every page as a hit , this should explain why its different. |

http://my3.statcounter.com counter counted my ip address more than once (12 times because i was testing it) and another ip from NY, (1 time) but why doesn't it count all the server hits abyss server gets.(at least once for every different person) |

Because people like me who hate ads and statcounters specifically block their browser from contacting external sites with webbugs on ;) The only reliable counter for your own pages is hosted on your own site, even then it may be blocked by software which looks for webbug sized graphics. You are better off with log analyzing software... |
