first off....
this probably has been asked before, but i've spent the past few hours searching and trying thousands of different things with no luck and i'll end up smashing my pc up if i can't get it to work soon :(
so heres the problem...
I set everything up fine went to view my site via my IP http://81.155.104.75/
it prompts for a password and username, i get past that and it goes to my settiings for the Router/Modem thing i use to connect to the net.
same if i go via my internal IP which is http://192.168.1.14
they both go to the same thing. im just not sure what im doing wrong.
I've read the tutorial that is stickied at the top of this forum but i cant find the forwarding option anywhere in my settings...
can anyone help? |

Could you post the exact model name/number of your 'router/modem thing' ? Also, it sounds like you are using the internal IP of the router/modem not your PC. Where are you getting the internal IP from ? |

http://www.portforward.com/binatone/adsl2000-portforwarding.htm
That should do the trick. Never seen port forwarding called PAT before but there you go... Follow the steps in the guide and you should be sorted.
If you got your IP from IPConfig i guess it's the right one, but you said that going to the IP you got from IPConfig also brings up the Binatone login prompt? |
