|
|
G'Day All,
I know i may cheeze a few people off here by asking another virtual hosting questions, but i have certainly been doing plenty of reading on this forum, so my question has not been researched. I have tried various ways of viewing multiple sites with my abyss, including php scripts provided by bluedog, and while the essence of the script does work, i dont know if its fully working 100%. What i mean is, when the user enters the domain:
rahrah.no-ip.com, which is located in the /htdocs/rahrah/ directory, it does redirect to rahrah.no-ip.com successfully, BUT, the issue i have is, when they then click on a link on this index.php page, for example, an "about us" page, the url then links to:
rahrah.no-ip.com/rahrah/aboutus.php
instead of just rahrah.no-ip.com/aboutus.php. Any ideas why this might be? Is this something i will just have to live with, or can it be resolved?
Thanks all, speak soon.

Hi Mick--
I was using a perl redirect approach and noticed the same phenomena--a redundant directory listing was needed in the url.
I believe that the Pro Version that will be released someday will handle this better.
I think for now it is something we have to live with, unless someone has found a way that avoids this problem.
Regards,

Mick,
Have you tried the Java redirect method (found under tutorials)?

G'Day All,
cldickerson, by java i believe u mean JavaScript, and yes i did try that, and again, i had no luck. Yeah i think i will have to live with this minor imperfection until V-Hosting comes out with the pro version of Abyss. GEE I CANT WAIT FOR THAT!!! :D
Thanks all.
