Does anybody here have successful experience setting up a forum using abyss on own PC? I have tried several forums, like toast. But I just couldn't get them work. Any suggestions?

All I can say is that your in the wrong area for
a forum script , you need to use PHP to setup a
forum for your website since ASP is not free !
Try phpBB or Invision Power Board

Yes I have. Check the signature.
All the tutorials you will ever need are available in the Tutorials section of this board. Those are the ones I followed, and I seemed to have no problems.
If you don't like those, TRUSTpunk also offers tutorials at os17fan.cjb.net.

There are plenty of free ASP forums...
One comes to mind - WebWiz Forums. Free and feature rich!

As long as you have the free version of AHTML installed...you can do just about anything ASP.
