I thoroughly enjoy the Abyss Web Server. It's small memory footprint and browser-based console are perfect.
I have been using it on my home computer for many months, but have had dial-up until recently. So now, I use it for hosting my files (and some other people's) as well as the hub for a local radio project, "BKWR".

I currently have over 99% uptime (up for about 80 hours followed by about a 3 minute restart, as I only have 128MB of RAM).
I look forward to new releases of this great HTTP daemon. _________________ - Wilson |

The layout is very rough as it's not meant to be a mostly HTML based deal. I plan on tidying it up a little soon, though. _________________ - Wilson |

The layout is a bit rough, but it works together.
Do you know a lot about radio and broadcast? If you do, I would be extremely greatful if you could teach me some things. I am very interested in radio; and I hope to have a show someday. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

iNaNimAtE, it's not very hard to have a internet-based radio station! In fact, you can do it for free too!
All you need is Winamp (To broadcast with and to play the playlist) and ShoutCAST, to serve.
ShoutCAST is available at http://www.shoutcast.com/ and on that site is pretty much all the information you need to start yourself off.
It's pretty much a straight forward proceedure. |

No, I know about ShoutCAST (and I've read the thread). I'm referring to actual radio broadcasting; using FM and AM frequencies. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Wow, that's impressive! I'm going to try to catch the 4:30pm broadcast later today. I hope the server will be on! :)
Was it hard to setup Shoutcast on your PC? Which version of Winamp are you using? Is Shoutcast compatible with the latest version of Winamp (5.03)??? Sorry for all the questions, but I would love to learn how you setup your radio station! _________________ SHE |
