I can see my site through my PC, and my brothers PC, we are connected through a router.
I asked one of my friends to go to my site http://192.168.123.100 , he said that it couldnt be displayed?
Then i went to Abyssa "get your ip" thing and it gave me my real ip
http://24.238.59.69 , i told him to try that one, then again he told me that it couldnt be displayed?
What do i need to do? |

When i go to my site 24.238.59.69 i see it on my pc, but others cant view it...
Before i was using 192.168.123.100, and i had a feeling that wasnt going to work because that was my routers ip address, and not my "real" ip address.
HELP ME PLEASE I BEG OF YOU!!
My router port forwarding is weird though...
it looks like this
Note: anything that has a "| |" in the front and back is a text box..
It has 2 textboxes for the port...
And 1 textbox for the IP
|80|80| |192.168.123.100| Enabled YES |

if you have more than one puter hooked to your router, i have 2 wired and one wireless, my router uses the puter name, as set in conrtoll panel,> network,> identification tab to assign the LAN ID (the 192.100.xx.xx) ah, ya should also have your puters and router probibly configured to use DHCP for obtaining your Ip address. (oh yeah, my point was the puters have to have different names, doh)
you can check a lot of the ip information by going into dos mode and running ipconfig/all. Lot of useful info there.
have fun!!
fwiw im on win98
an my sites been crazy lately, 100 page hits 3 meg output an hr. average |
