No matter what port I try (80, 90, 1000,2020,2628) I get the listening problem (port is in use by another application) and can't run the server. Other than IE and McAfee Security no other applications are running. I am using Windows XP Home. Any help greatly appreciated. |

Maybe your ISP Blocked all of your ports
Try 1515 , 9955
Go higher untill you find one that works |

I tried 9955,1515, and 30000
No Luck
My ISP blocks
80(inbound)
135-139
445
1433
1434
1900
27374
no others. I assume it is an OS problem. Any help appreciated. |

Everyone seems to have missed this :

If it's failing at that stage, it is nothing to do with the ISP, it is something wrong on the local machine. Are you sure you're not trying to run 2 copies of the server ?
Grab a copy of ActivePorts and find out what applications are already open and listening. Check Abyss isn't already running in the process list in task manager.
