|
|
I am need some help. Posting forms to my site. I am using Front Page 2002 to create the site and forms. The Abyss web server is on our server that is running Windows 2000 server and I have installed Server Extensions on Server. But when I try to post to the htdocs folder it tells me no server extensions installed on machine so I hit cancel to continue to post than I get an access denied message and I cant publish. For it to work I have to copy and paste files to folder. Can any one Help I have Administrator Permisions on both Abyss and Windows 2000 Server. Thanks |

You won't be able to use the FP Extentions, but you can setup a folder share from the htdocs folder and have FP push to that location through a Network Place mapped to the htdocs folder.
or setup a FTP server and have FP publish that way... _________________ ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

You'll need some FTP server software.
FTP servers run off a separate port from WWW. (I think 22 by default..I could be wrong)
I'm sure there are a ton of Free FTP server's available and I think LanSuite2003 from software602.com includes one.
once you establish(setup) you FTP server and subsequent folders that you want to upload content to..
Hit FP's publish option and walk through pointing it to your FTP server... _________________ ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
