Good evening from the UK.

In a nutshell, I have a 404 error when running a script called install/install.php. Here's the data:

Windows NT release 6.
mySQL running in c:\mysql
PHP available in c:\php\php.exe
Abyss running in d:\webserver-abyss\ and working for normal .html files as usual
phpbb2 available in d:\webserver-abyss\phpbb2
cgi-bin available in d:\webserver-abyss\cgi-bin

Does it matter where cgi-bin is in this setup?

(I'm also running lan-suite 602 for email access with another web server running on port 8080 with ftp disabled but even shutting this down doesn't put the problem away and it has never conflicted before with Abyss).

Config as follows:

Documents path:phpbb2
Port:80
Index files:index.html & index.php
CGI parameters - Interpreters: c:/php/php.exe (tried c:\php\php.exe too..!)
cgi path: \ <-- I have a hint of that this may be an issue..? ->
user cgi environment variables: REDIRECT_STATUS (value=200)

Fully read and installed as per on-line PHP installation. Checked this install twice.

Please help is you can.

Thanks,

Callum.

Still bug fixing on my own here. For what it's worth, I have read but NOT followed the instructions found on the post at http://www.aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1072 starting at the point: "1. Using phpMyAdmin create a database and name it phpbb2data ". I was going to do that when PHP was up and running...

Sorry for the muliple posts!

Computers.. don't you love 'em?

:)

Cracked it.

Latest version of Abyss downloaded and upgraded successfully. PHP now working.

Assuming someone else comes along and does a search one day, I trust they'll find this stuff usefull.

Bye for now.

Callum.
