| just curious.. lets have a hypothetical situation here.. lets say i have pdf files i want to restrict access to.. so i would want to put them in a folder with access control on it right?? but what if the pdf files absolutely have to be in the same directory as unprotected files. is there any way that abyss can restrict access to a specific file type? |

I think aprelium mentioned that this is possible but you have to make aliases to the files your restricting , im not 100% sure but you can try it 8)

| true.. i have put access control on a single file... but it would be nice if you could use wildcards in the access control target. back to the hypothetical situation... lets say there are over 4000 pdf files.... it would be quite tedious to restrict every single one of them. I realize now that currently abyss can't do what i'm asking. But I am also against using javascript or anything like that to restrict my files |

Well you can put all of them in a root folder ie htdocs and password protect the folder from access control surely you can change your site to be able to get the pdfs :roll:
