No because the PC powers the server , in some cases its ok to leave your PC turned on, it won't hurt anything unless you don't have a surge protector lol 8)

When your PC is turn off, so will be your Abyss or whatever other stuff you have on that PC.

I recommend bying a UPS (UNINTERUPTED POWER SUPPLY)
This baby keeps your computer on even when your power goes out , great for web servers , im still doing research 8)

If I understand his original message stating below quote -

This sound like how to stop the Abyss from going down when he have his PC turn off...... To me, nothing will be on if PC is off. If no power is supply to the PC, then nothing will run. This is not due to power loss but the user is turning off the PC willingly.
