The FAQ said you can not use your home LAN for Webserver, then would as anyone will..... just use it anyway and wait for their email to tell you to stop. If they block those port, then try a un common one and forward that port to your PC. 8) I do not see why a residential can not have webhosting. It only deter protential customer and getting them angry. _________________ CapFusion,... |

No. Running a server violates the Cox High Speed Internet subscriber agreement. For information on this type of service, go to www.coxbusiness.com.

This is what I got when I click on your link. Ooopz, you add a "." between the com and the slash.
Anyway,
You ISP is really SUCK big time. Their FAQ only cover very simple basic question. I can not find that FAQ you mention that indicate something about hosting your own stuff in a residential account but business.
BTW, there a limited of bandwidth for you webspace on their server. That is really suck too!. I think you better DUMP them and get another ISP. Cox is not fun. They just want your $$$$. Man, they prefer you to pay monthly networking equipment like $9.95 which you can get yourself one. _________________ CapFusion,... |

Why...? Please be descriptive....
akrocks, goto this site "DSLReports"
http://www.dslreports.com/ - look for the one that support your area. BTW, check their FAQ if it indicate somewhere that you can not host on your PC at home. You do not want to be in the same situation like "COX". _________________ CapFusion,... |

Cooool 8O I guess their name speak for it self.
How about "Aprelium"? Does it sound like op...... some kind of addictive drug?
J/K above....
Anyway, BackToTopic....
akrocks, have you try using a totally different PORT beside 80 or 8080 and setup or configure your NO-IP to goto that port?
Beside hosting yourself a WebServer, is there somewhere that state you cannot host a FTP server instead? You can use your personal space from their server and point those file back to your FTP for those file. This might benefit you... depending on how you look at it.
If all fail and you are TOTALLY feed-UP, then put your money on a different ISP that will be more friendly to you. If you decided that your ISP CENSORED (Oops... I mean COX) giving you a bad end of the stick; DUMP it! _________________ CapFusion,... |
