Please read the "Getting started" chapter in the documentation to have full answers for your questions.
You should only put index.html in the Index files table (and not a full path). Besides, your should declare the d:\shp\pages to be either your documents path or as an alias. _________________ Support Team

Just drop a .htm and .html files in your htdocs folder and go to your abyss console , go to server paremeters and click on add in the index table , type index.htm and click on submit and restart your server click on add again in the index table and type , index.html and go to your web address and your index.htm or index.html should be found if you want to put a index file in a sub directory, just drop a index.htm or index.html and point your browser to that web directory http://www.offspringvideos.com/images/
inside /images/ is a index.html file and that blocks the forbidden error from coming up it just shows that html index file instead , its a great way to add your own forbidden error pages 8)
I HOPE THIS IS WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT ! 8) _________________ This web server is the best ! |

With the default Abyss install, the HTDOCS folder should contain your "indext.htm". This index.htm should display something. _________________ CapFusion,... |

are you sure that it is really a html file? you should turn on file extensions (My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > Views tab > Uncheck Hide Extensions for known files types) It is possible if you made a new text file and saved it as a html file that it still has a txt exension on the end index.html.txt wont work in your server. _________________ my isp sux |

That is a good point. I did not look at that way. 8O Geeze, wouldn't it be just much easier if Abyss have "Browse" feature? Humm..... it would make alot less mistake and less ranting AND less hair loss or unless you already BALD. :D _________________ CapFusion,... |
