Hi everybody.

I am using Abyss Web Server to test my webpage locally on my computer, before uploading the pages on the web hosting server.

I am now creating new webpages with SSI, and the SSI appears correctly when I view the pages on my localhost through Abyss Web Server.

However, when I make changes in the SSI, and then reload the page, the changes in the SSI do not appear.

I uploaded my page on the web hosting server, and the new updated SSI appears correctly in the webpage.

But when I try to view the same page on my localhost, through Abyss Web Server, the old SSI still appears. I tried closing my browser, deleting all the internet temporary files, opening the browser again, and then reloading the page, and it didn't work. The old SSi is still displayed.

So my question is: how can the new updated SSI be loaded on the webpage, when I view this page on my localhost through Abyss Web Server?

Thank you in advance for your help!

It simply sounds like a caching problem. Although you may have cleared your temporary files it might not have done it properly. Have you tried hitting reload while holding shift? This should force the clearing of the cache without closing the browser.

If in doubt, try another browser. If you're using IE, that could be your problem.
