I have my 2 partitions on my harddrive. System files on c and server files/programs on d. My question is, if I format and reinstall windows on the c drive, will the server still run on d if I don't touch it?
Basically, does the server install stuff into windows and if I reinstall windows will the original server still work without being reinstalled itself?

It should work fine but you might have to reinstall some scripting languages like AHTML, Perl and Python if you use them.
MySQL will work without a reinstall but you will have to find the file it runs as. Mine is winmysqladmin.exe, and it automatically sets it self up again as a service.
If you need help after reinstalling, come back to the forum and explain what the issues are.

There is no need to reinstall it since it does not copy or install anything in Windows directory.

yea the only thing that would get slightly messed up would be it wouldn't automatically start up when you started windows, but that is an easy fix there. Otherwise, abyss is pretty much self-sufficent.

You're welcome. Since Abyss Web Server was designed from day 1 to be available on many operating systems, making it self-contained was a requirement.
