I am trying to upgrade to X2 from the X1 version I am running now but when I start the server it errors me saying the abyss.config file contains an error and closes down.
Thankfully I backed up my X1 folder before I tried upgrading. What I am wondering is where are the Users & Groups lists stored so I can copy them over to the X2 folder after I install it or is this possible.
I have 30+ users signed up to my server & I don't want to go through having them to all signup again if I can avoid that. _________________ Thanks in advance,

cjsa,
Please send your abyss.conf file to our technical support and we'll check the cause of the error? By the way, are you sure you're upgrading from X1 to X2? Your error looks more like an upgrade from version 1.x to 2.y. _________________ Support Team

cjsa,
2.0.0.20 is an old version. Why are you using it? Haven't you downloaded your update? _________________ Support Team

There's been an update for the past year. How could you have not known about
the update? Are you using a shared copy of Abyss?
Whoever shared their copy, they put the thing all over the internet. This needs
to stop as I have over 12 websites with this same version listed on the Powered
By Abyss database website.
The Beta testers and Developers work very hard to make sure that the
software is stable. They've put hours apon hours of work on this software.
Do us ALL a favor and purchase X2 if you want Commercial features. It's only
$59.95 one time fee. After that, it becomes $24.95 per year, which is a cheap
deal if you can't afford the thousand dollar 3rd party software.
Note: The $24.95 per year after the one time fee grants you access to more
and more updates for another year. Remember that the software itself does
not expire if you decide to stop paying for yearly updates.
P.S. I don't mean to offend anyone in this post.
Sincerely, Josh (TRUSTAbyss) |
