Hello all,

I now have the paid hosting set up on www.awshost.co.uk . Ive got a few happy customers so far but I need more! Without I cant pay for the server and those already on it will lose their hosting!

When/if you sign up and there are any special specs you want, just let me know and Ill see what I can do for you.

Thanks to all who do sign up for any paid hosting package.

Please feedback on the site too.

Your link is actually a 404 at the moment as it's included a . at the end of the URL...

Other than that, Plan 2 seems very reasonable for a beginner who doesn't want to (or can't) host on their own PC but wants to support Abyss. I'd think that most people will just go for free though while there are slots available - if you have £50+ to cover in costs each month, I'd be tempted to drop the free hosting and offer Plan 2 as the basic package - it's certainly competitive with other basic UK hosting plans.

Thanks for the advice, all appriciated.

Im am going to drop the free hosting but for those already on it, dont worry, your sites will still be available until there comes a time when I need the space and bandwidth for paid hosting.

EDIT: Fixed link. Dumb phpBB...

Exactly. They are some of the cheapest prices on the web so if you wanted paid hosting then thats the around the price youd pay.

How about doing jobs at weekends? Im sure you could find something, even if its doing the odd job for your parents for the money. After all, even pocket money could pay for the prices I offer. I mean $4 AUD a month is nothing...

No problem. You should learn to read the site properly though. In fact I dont think Ive ever seen a hosting site that lets you pay weekly. Maybe someone can point one out to me...

There is a fault on your site. But u dont need to remove it as MrWiseOne will need to use it lol. Once ur page has loaded and when we go to hosting, we have a choice of Basic, Bronze, Sliver Gold. Then once we click sigup on anyone one of the plans and next page loads. There is another list of plans up the top incase we made the wrong decision these plans are Free, Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold. Which means there is an extra plan FREE FREE FREE. So you might want to remove the free plan or add it too ur main website hosting page. :)

I have to announce that I will be cancelling the dedicated server. The reseller Im getting it off recently decided to stop selling dedicated servers and transferring it to the main data center company has made the price rise by £16. This extra £16 means I can't afford it anymore.

I will be reverting back to my old home server. Anyone who I host for will also be transferred to that server. Any paid clients will be cancelled or can enjoy free hosting at a lower speed.

Im not happy about this myself but its how the world goes. AWSHost.co.uk will probably exist as a free hosting site at some point.

Their prices do not match the specs I was orginally getting. Also you don't get a remote desktop connection from what Ive read.

I got (originally for £60):
AMD 3000+ @ 2.1GHz
1GB RAM
2x80GB HD/s
10Mbps Uplink
1TB Bandwidth
Remote Desktop

Its great, cant fault the service, but the price is just too high now. Its gone up twice and its now £70. I simply can't afford it. The paid hosting didnt really take off, I only reached (although I hate to admit it) 3 customers.

This would have helped yes but the fact the price went up twice didnt help anything.
