| I am running Abyss X2 on Suse 9.1 and i want to enable asp for it. I fount Sun's Java System ASP 4.0. also known as Chilisoft. I wanted to know how to use this with abyss or if you cant, what could i use to enable asp. Iv got perl and php working, just need asp. I program in vb and asp/vbscript and prefer it over php and perl. Long story. |

PHP is also more widely used and probably easier to program anyway. I prefer it over any other language.
Also I know you can have ASP on the Windows version of Abyss, I have it on my server myself but it requires the alternative AHTML package to use it. I dont know about Linux though.

Chilisoft seems to only support Sun ONE Web Server and some specific versions of Apache. Even support for Zeus Web Server has been dropped in their latest release.
Chilisoft seems to uses proprietary modules to make the web server communicate with the ASP engine.

| Iv only used VB/VBSCRIPT since i was like 13, im 21 now, and learned to back code, jscript, c++ and php. I just cant do it the other way...im not to willing to learn php since i will soon be going into the military and wanted to setup a web server befor i left. I wanted to use a personal server for a project for friends. |
