|
|
Hi Everyone,
I have a website template in .psd format and would like to know how to change text, font, text colour etc. This is a real basic question but I am very new to PhotoShop.
Yes I have Googled it but with no real relevant results :-(
Thank You in advance,

Simply open it in Photoshop and make sure you have the Layers window open. To change the text, click on the layer you want and click the text tool button. Click the text on the image and edit it.
Photoshop is very simple once you know your way around it. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Yes I think this is correct but I have never done it myself, I prefer to do things manually :P _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Thanks, The Inquisitor!
Very fast reply and sorted now! Much Appreciated!
I've only just bought PhotoShop but it seems like a very good program! Looks like I know who to ask if I ever have any more bother (hopefully it won't be such a basic question next time though) LOL!
Thanks Again _________________ Please SEARCH the forums BEFORE asking questions! |

Same Here. I personally make all my pages from scratch and i make ALL the coding, that way if something goes wrong i know where to look and most of the time, how to fix it lol. _________________ mysql> SELECT * FROM users WHERE clue > 0;

This is correct photoshop can create the html document based on the images/cutting. However you have to save it as HTML and not a image when you go to save as. |

I know Macromedia Fireworks MX can do this if you import as one whole image. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

I did not know that, im gonna go play with that now! I still dont like the idea of making the templates with a WYSIWYG type program but it will be fun to fool around with. _________________ mysql> SELECT * FROM users WHERE clue > 0;

You also need to Save it for Web, then Click Save and Save as Images and HTML, which is the .html folder. Then it saves as a folder "Images" with all the slices and the .html file..... |

Making a template in Photoshop takes hard work.
You can't just make the content boxes and banners and expect to work, you need to know how to slice and code it. |

Yeah... Also, you need to remember (when slicing) to NAME the sections so you know what you are... One of my friends' websites uses a Photoshop template.... simple, yet it aligns nicely...
My site, on the other hand, uses very simple HTML so it has a decent template. |
