A few things, what port is your server running on? If it is port 80 then it may be blocked by your ISP and you'll need to specify another port to use, I had this problem to start with as well but as soon as I changed the port everything worked well.
Secondly, are you giving them your gateway IP or your outbound IP, you'll need to give them your outbound IP or only people that are on your LAN can see your page.
Hope this helps abit with your problem. _________________

Also make sure that port forwarding is enabled for the port you are using for your server. This can be done from your routers console. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Here's what I suggest doing;
Open up a new browser window and goto 192.168.1.1 or whatever your default gateway is, and open up the port 1024 for example. Once this is done, edit your Abyss server to have the port of 1024. Now, in the browser window goto http://whatsmyip.net and copy-paste that IP into your browser followed by :1024. So it will end up looking something like this, but with a diferant IP, 12.34.56.78:1024.
Please note that every thing in italic can be considered a variable and might differ slightly, and that if you are not running on a static IP everytime you restart or disconnect from the internet your IP will change and you must use the command promt ipconfig or goto http://whatsmyip.net to find it out again. I hope this helps you out abit with getting it to work. _________________

I don't have a router either, but all the modems I have ever used have a gateway for configuration and the like. Just something you may want to look into as it might help. _________________

Well, I think we've solved your problem.

Connection Failure Error
The connection was refused when attempting to contact 127.0.0.1:1024

Try setting your subdomain to point to your real IP :/ |

That is because all your links point to 127.0.0.1:(Your Port)/(Page Name)
You need to point them to the same IP you are pointing your home page to. |

You need to edit Invision Power Board's domain name configuration. _________________ Olly |

so the domain at my Invision bord should be my IPaddress:port, or just Ipaddress. |

You can also use a domain address if you have one , but if you don't
you should use your IP Address for that part. Hope this info helps. :-)
If your web server isn't on port 80 , append the port to it.

wher epossible I recommend using relative links its easyier, so instead of having say for example 214.216.0.9:1024/gallery.htm as a link on a page try linking to gallery.htm or say you got 255.232.0.14/main/gallery/view.htm and the page you are putting the link is in the root folder just put /main/gallery/view.htm or if the page is in main the link would look like /gallery.view.htm this makes it much easyier because then if your ip changes or port changes you don't need to change all the links as it works out the first part as from what you are from.
I hope I made sense didn't quite know how to explain it
Also when visintg your page I get
"The Page Cannot Be Found" Error 404
68.192.129.50:1024 as you ip
Title still comes up as Fun Zone
If I go to http://68.192.129.50:1024 Your website appears so that suggests to me something is wrong in you dns server _________________ M.Carpenter
