You should just learn PHP, ASP or Perl instead. Its harder I know but it has greater potential. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

WTF... Frontpage is a shitty software from Microsoft. Why are you using it? Use Dreamweaver instead. |

cmxflash, you need to read this - http://www.aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3190
Instead of giving insulting remarks about a person's preference for software, why don't you post constructive remarks
about the pros and cons of using Frontpage vs. Dreamweaver? |

Just to point out that you shouldn't have ago becuase you don't know a persons needs or their set up I use both Frontpage 2003 and Dreamweaver MX 2004 for my site as they both do things the other doesnt that I need and for your information my site is very successful and my old one was built entirly using Frontpage but my new one uses Dreamweaver and raw html as well. _________________ M.Carpenter

I must congradulate you on your swift argument towards Moxxnixx, who, if my memory servers me correctly, doesnt even use Abyss on his server any more!
The only thing I can say is if you dont have anything nice to say, dont bother saying it at all. Keep thinks nice. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

you can use flash and asp, just not Frontpage Extensions. Frontpage extensions are rubbish anyway. Its easier to use PHP and MySQL for it. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Well do what anyone else would do, downgrade back to the 32-bit version of XP and wait until everyone else catches up ;) _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Um, you use a simple script in a HTML-page to view flash. What does this have to do with Abyss? |

He is on about the fact that the 64-bit version of XP does not support Flash because no program for 64-bit has been written for it yet. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

that is correct. Everytime I try to install flash or asp it says completed but it just says I need to install it again. For some reason it just does not run or though I cant see why it can't emulate it like all the other programs. _________________ M.Carpenter

Its because windows is 64-bit as well and it decided to run the programs in 64-bit mode as well. I really would downgrade because otherwise your life with programming will be hell at the moment. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

is there no option to emulate it like all the other program? And i don't do really any programming just a bit on my website. I think I can live until it is supported more. I have got so far on all my stuff now I can't really be bothered to reformat and start again even though I can back it up on my external hdd. plus my family would get annoyed that broadband would be down for a while since they hop though my pc. _________________ M.Carpenter

I've been using Abyss for over 2 years and bought X2 three days after it was released. ;)
Why does my use of Abyss have anything to do with informing cmxflash of forum policies? |

Moxxnixx is telling the truth , infact he did move for maybe a few days and than
I talked him into buying the Professional version and it seems that he will never
go back , if you think about moving to another server , let me talk you out of it.
Sincerely , TRUSTpunk

I was saying keep all your negative comments to yourself. You may have been here longer than me, i dont deny it but when it comes to helping someone you always have more than help to give. You always give some negative comments as well and I dont think there is any point in it.

I admit i will be running the free version for a while but when i have the money for x2 then its x2 all the way. When i move infact, i will have a server running abyss x2 24/7 instead of the current x1 and 'whenever my dad can be bothered switching the server on' method. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Thats nice. People think the same of me in the age side of things because I do know a lot about computers and web design, just as you can see from my posts and www.abyssunderground.co.uk (it may bceome a .com in the future, not decided yet though).
I want to make web design as my carreer but not quite sure what my college will have in store for me yet. We shall have to see when we get there. BTW, do you have msn? _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)
